Products I'm lovin : March 2014
Hey, I'll be sharing with you today my favourite products in terms of beauty that I am using and loving so far this month. I've got some pictures of the products to show you but no pictures to show you how it's being used or how does it look like before & after UNFORTUNATELY.
But i'll do my best to describe it all to you in words - hope you like this post and found it useful to give you an insight to these products more if you were wondering how it is and etc.

#1 : Body Shop
- It's a gentle exfoliator with micro beads in a gel-like texture matrix that helps scrub off dirt and dry skin from your face and control the oil balance at the same time leaving you with soft and clean skin after.
- A little goes a long way with this, I use it 2-3 times a week and it's great at keeping my oil controlled on my face. It does not break me out further or anything like that and it doesn't have a very strong fragrance to it too which is goood.
-Comes in a 75mL bottle - small enough for travelling and it does not dry out your skin or make your skin abrasive from the beads in there. That is why it's known as an exfoliator rather than a scrub.
-Bought this like a month back and it's not even half of the tube yet. Hence, loving it so far.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner
- It's a gentle toner infused with tamanu oil and smells like tea tree targeted for people with acne prone skin. Shake BEFORE use as there is a layer that sediments at the bottom which turns the liqiud into this chalky-looking mixture instead of what you see in this picture [ clear green fluid ] in order to get the full benefit use out of this product.
-It's in 250mL, last for a long time. I use it at night on a cotton pad all over my face after cleanser and it leaves your face feeling clean and nice. If you like tea tree smell, this might be for you. If not, it might not be suitable as it does smell pretty strong of tea tree.
-It doesn't leave my face feeling 'squeaky clean' but it does feel clean enough to remove any excess/leftover make up or dirt on your face.

Aloe Lip Care
- It's a thick white gel looking balm that squeezes out of the tube to give you soft, moisturized lips like never before. No kidding. It's rich in texture so a little goes a long way [ thicker texture than how vaseline feels on your lips - for example ].
-Hydrate your lips, doesn't clump or dry out your lips overtime, and depending how thick you put on your lips determines how sticky it'll be [ sticky as in when you go outside, wind blows your hair to your face and whether your hair will stick to your lips ] .
- Comes in a 15mL tube - suitable to bring everywhere and if you're having dry chapped lips, I prefer this to any of the regular lip balms you see on the market.
-Great for everyday use or when your lips needs proper conditioning.

Vitamin E Overnight Serum in Oil
- Comes in a solid glass light pink bottle with a pipette dropper filled 28mL of product. Smells like the Vitamin E range of body shop products. Texture wise , honestly feels more like a facial oil rather than a serum texture.
-If you have oily skin like I do, might make your skin look oily [ I tried putting as little as I possibly can and it still does make my skin look shiny ]. However in terms of hydration and giving you a healthy glow and renewed skin the next day , this is definitely it. Goes really well with the Vitamin E intensive night cream which is what I used it with.
-Would advise to use it at night rather than during the day. Prolonged use of Vitamin E products does help to lighten hyperpigmentation, scars and etc over time and with the amount that I use every night, this can last me for AGES. No regrets over purchasing it.

#2 : Hair Products
Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance
- It claims to be a lightweight conditioning spray that has jojoba seed oil infused to give you a smooth tangle-free protection for everyday use.
-Comes in a 250mL spray bottle, smells sweet and slightly floral. I usually use it after washing my hair and spray it to the ends as your hair is prone to breakage when it's wet just so I could brush through it without getting stuck/tangled.
-Doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy, really helps to break through those tangles and take away any form of frizz from your hair. Can be used on dry hair as well to give you more easy styling and smooth texture with a hint of shine to your hair.
-Loving this product and this is my first product I've tried from the Aussie line and no regrets so far.
-Apparently they re-formulated the product and called it a new name which I just found out too, check out the link to know more about it but it somewhat works the same.

Dove Style + Care Nourishing
Dry Ends Serum
- With long hair requires great care to maintain it. Hence, the need for this new serum. Dove was always known to have great hair products so I thought I'd give this a go. Comes in a 50mL bottle with a pump.
-Squeeze a pump into your palm of your hands when you hair is 70% dry approx and just massage it to your ends of your hair and it makes it look smoother, less frizzy and more manageable. Feels like an oil-like texture [ Like macadamia oil that you put for your hair kind-of texture but not that oily ]. Because you only use it for your ends, you only need a pump of it. Hence the product last for a long time too.
-Slightly scented with the 'dove' scent as always which is somewhat reminds me of jasmine. Great if you're looking for something to keep your ends
from splitting/drying out.

#3: Beauty
Not much here this month but just a thing or two to spike up the approaching-spring season.
Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 405: Rose Libertine
- It's this lovely peachy-coral pink that's not too bright nor too dark for your nails to welcome the spring season once again.
-The brush itself is thick - similar to that of Loreal Nail Polishes which is great as you only need a maximum of two swipes on your nail to coat the whole nail.
-In terms of drying in 60 seconds - I'm not convince that it does but definitely takes less time than other regular nail polishes to dry.
-Colour range is fantastic and in terms of chipping, my personal experience with it, 3 days before it starts to chip but it all depends on what you do . For me, I'm all about everywhere and getting my hands involved in everything that I do so for 3 days chip-free, is considered pretty good for me.

Eyebrow Gel
(MUA Clear Mascara Gel + Collection Clear Mascara)
-From the first picture you can see the top one is Collection and the bottom is MUA. I've thrown out the MUA one because it's all gunky now and I've been using everyday for my brows as you can tell. So the Collection one was the new one which I'm currently using for my brows.
-Brow Gels are something I tend to
reach for everyday now to fix my brows after filing them in and really, any clear mascara helps. Doesn't matter which brand, cause in my preference, all you want for your brows is something gel-like texture to fix it all into place. [Somewhat like hairspray for your brows ]
-So any clear mascara will do to help, and probably after using it for a max of 3 months, it becomes all brown not-appealing colour which is then the time for you to replace it and get a new one.
- I gotta say honestly, I wasn't into this 'eyebrow gel' previously but once I've started using it for my brows, it kinda got me obsessed with it so if you do your brows everyday like I do now, this might be helpful to have to help keep it in place throughout the day.
-Therefore, for this product, I'm not going to give you a link to it as really, any brand of clear mascara would do or if you prefer 'a clear eyebrow gel'.

Well, there you go - a list of stuff that I've been loving this month and can't stop using them. I have many more to show you definitely but these are the few products I don't regret buying, I'm still happy I have them and reach for every single time when I need them. So yes, I hope this post helped you a little bit if you were looking for something similar.
And honestly for me, I'm not really materialistic when it comes to buying products. I don't judge a product by it's brand and price. If it does the job well, I'm in - simple as that. So I shall go now. Have a good weekend, and stay tuned for more post.
Byee,
Lots of hugz,
G.
