Maybelline Baby Lips: Neon Rose.

Hii, as I'm on holiday now and am back home, I thought I pop into the local pharmacy to see what's new and I needed a new lip balm while I'm back here because I stored most of my collection back in the UK.

Because I have a whole range of Baby Lips from UK thought I add on more to my collection plus I figured the formula would be the same as I love the UK's version of Baby Lips.

So I bought this: Neon Rose tint (RM 9.90)

Meant to:
  • Moisturise your lips
  • Provide a light colour tint to your lips
  • Provide SPF protection to your lips too.

MY HONEST OPINION: 7/10

I have bought one previously called 'Rose Addict' and it's been serving me well. It is moisturising, it gives me supply lips, its non-sticky, it coats your lips without feeling too greasy and lastly, it gives a tint of colour to make your lips look more awake! The bad side of it is that, if your lips is overly dry before application, it tends to cause some flake-ups on your lips which is a tad bit annoying.

So make sure you scrub your lips before to experience the full benefit of this product.
The price is quite reasonable and it last quite a while too. It comes with quite a lot of product in such a small tube that is sufficient to last you about 2 months or more if you use on a daily basis. Here are the swatches:

As  you can see, on my hand,it comes off way more sheer than on the tissue paper. But the good thing about this tinted lip balm is that you can build the colour UP!

Keep on going back and forth to achieve a more vibrant colour payoff on your lips. =)

These "baby lips" range have different form of packaging and also different result between the US/UK packaging compared to Malaysia's packaging.

On the LEFT: Malaysia            :               On the RIGHT: US/UK

I know there is a bit of size difference involved too. However, in comparison with the two different packaging, I prefer the UK's range rather simply because they don't flake on my lips whereas Malaysia's tinted range does for me. Maybe it just happens to me but that is my personal verdict.
Nonetheless, both still help to give you moisturised lips at the end of the day. It's product consistency is just right where it's not too thick or too thin on your lips. It does wear off quickly as it is a lip balm so don't expect it stay on the whole day.

So if you're looking for a lip balm that provides moisture + tint , I would recommend Maybelline's Baby Lips range to you. It has a range of colours and also their un-tinted range isn't too bad. They have a mint flavoured lip balm too which gives a slight tingle which I love too!

Thought I share this mini-new obsession of mine with you. Comment below if you have the same 'lip balm' obsession as mee! =) Would love to hear from you.
