Moment's I'll Treasure : Summer 2014.

Hi everyone. I've got another update for you regarding these summer months from June till September 2014 and now when I think back, yes .. there are some bad times but there are some great wonderful memories too that made me realize a few things & I would like to share that with you all.

1. A bad experience can also be a positive thing.
I believe this statement for two reasons! First, maybe it's fate & it's just not meant to be no matter how hard you try - accept it. Secondly, now that you've went through hell, you know what to expect & the signs on what to look out for and how to cope it in the future if it ever returns. In all, having experience {good & bad} I think is a great way to enrich your life. Worst come to worst, it'll all pass over time and you'll have EVEN MORE stories to tell to your friends/family.

2. Wonders of believing in yourself.
I never really knew how important that was to me, until I had no choice and by believing in myself was the only way out. Especially during exam period. The level of stress, amount of time and time is enough to mentally distract and exhaust you out, so by believing in yourself and giving yourself enough time and reassurance that you can overcome such boundary will motivate you and that's what you need most during such stressful period.

3. When you're away from home is when you miss home the most.
I always thought if I bring a little piece of home with me everywhere I go, I wouldn't. I missed home even more and being away made me realize how the little family traditions, daily errands and all the little things that you do with your family back home becomes the biggest thing you miss most about home. That's why I get so happy when I'm back. :P

4. Life is full of opportunities. When one doesn't work, doesn't mean your life is over.
This can apply to any chance/any risk/any life-changing decision. Life is unpredictable and we can't the future - that's the fact. We go into decisions, having a mindset of what to expect and how things would turn out. Whether it does or not, a plan B is always required. If you don't have a plan B, give it time , give it a think-through of what you want most out of life and go from there. Like they say, 'the moment you stop chasing for it is the moment you allow all of it to come up to you'. So don't rush into anything.

5. Do what makes YOU happy and everything else will fall into place, naturally.
The moment you start living your life your own way, doing the things you love and the things that make you happy is when you allow people around you to love you for who you are. Sometimes it's a bit hard with pressure or expectations from others, I understand.. but sometimes also, you have to learn to say 'NO' because you are meant to live YOUR life not how others think you should live yours. There will be people wanting to bring you down for their own benefit, don't fall into that trap.

I learnt all these lessons the hard way and that's why I'm here sharing with you. I hope it helps.
After I realized all these, I decided I need to change for myself and of course, change doesn't happen overnight but I shall say, it has begun. :) & I'm looking forward to it.

Join me in my journey

See you soon,
G.
