Beauty : Summer into Fall Make up MUST HAVE (Sept 2015)
Hiee there,
Seeing as it's turning from Summer - Autumn at the moment,
I figured it'd be quite good to share with you some of my 'must-have'
when it comes to make up & WHY they work during these transition of seasons.
No.1 - Loreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation (Natural Rose)
Pros:
* It's semi-matte meaning it still gives a slight glow just right to make you look radiant but not oily.
*The coverage of this foundation is med-high.
*Last throughout the day & even longer if you have a primer underneath.
*Does not dry your skin out like some matte foundations do.
* Squeeze tube, light & travel friendly.
*Does not oxidize on your face after a period of time.
*Certainly does not feel light on your skin but it does not feel heavy either.
Cons:
*If you have dry patches, it will cling onto it - TIP : Moisturize your skin beforehand.
*There is only 6 shades available for this range - difficult to find colour match.
*Price? (Despite it being a drugstore foundation & the good things about it - it's quite worth it).
No.2 : Make up Revolution Baked Highlighter (Golden Lights)
Pros:
*Similar to 'Mary Loumanizer' from The Balm but a more drug-store alternative.
*Provides an iridescent glow without any glitter .
*Super pigmented so this pan will last me quite a while to finish.
*Suitable for 'strobing' effect or just light highlight for everyday use.
*Easy to be picked up by brush
*Price
*Comes in 3 different shades for different undertones.
Cons:
*Can be easily overdone so apply thinly & build up the amount you want.
*It can be quite intense so for people with oily skin, if applied correctly it can look alright - otherwise, it can make your face appear even more oilier .
*Packaging is quite basic - plastic.
No.3 : Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Warm Medium)
Pros:
*Famous all time drugstore concealer in the UK for it's high coverage.
* Now comes in cool or warm tone shades to suit your undertones better
*Price
*Great to cover up acne scars or acne/blemishes
*Easy to blend.
Cons:
*A lil bit too heavy for under the eyes
*Cling to dry patches (not the most moisturising concealer out there)
*Packaging rubs off easily
No.4 : Sleek Face Contour Kit.
Pros:
*Sleek packaging & it looks classy.
*Comes with a bronzer ,highlighter & a coral blush.
*Price - worth the amount & quality of product that you get.
*All 3 are super pigmented
*The bronzer suits my skin tone best as a contour shade so if it suits you too, perfect. :)
*Super long-wearing
*Easily blended
Cons:
*The blush can be a bit too much because it isn't matte. It has some light reflecting shimmers in there so if you're using it - it adds on for a blush & a highlight to your cheeks which I guess is good.
No.5 : Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms.
Pros:
*Tints are build-able on your lips depending on how much colour do you want.
*Glides on easily with a twist up tube
*Packaging looks adorable
*Great for a 'my lips but better' kind of lip colour.
*Great for someone starting out on make up if you're not use to using lipsticks straight up.
*Does hydrate your lips
*Feels light on your lips.
Cons:
*As it wears off, it can appear a little patchy
* Clings on to dry patches of your lips
*Hydration only last a couple of hours before it wears off.

So those are the 5 things I'd recommend to have for a simple make up must have.
1) A great foundation that lasts all day & keeps you looking matte but still with a slight glow from within.
2) A highlighter that will enhance your radiance and make you look awake & fresh.
3) Concealer to help cover up those blemishes & redness of the skin.
4) Blush & Bronzer to give you more colour to your skin & contour giving you that summer glow.
5) A light refreshing lip balm to seal the look .
Hope you enjoyed reading this post,
If you do, you're welcome to share it =)
Seeeee you in my next one!
