Beauty : Lipstick De-clutter (Oct 15)

Welcome back xx

As my collection for lipsticks grow and grow, I have some that I think is time to get rid of.
Some because it's really really old and some because it's not my cup of tea anymore.

I've got 5 lipsticks here that I'll be reducing from my collection simply because :
1) The colour doesn't suit my skin tone very much
2) The formula doesn't appeal much to me
3) Its expired.

So don't get me wrong, some of these lipsticks are pretty good - just that , I dont have any reasons to keep them around and since I dont wear them much, I figured it's time to clear some of them off.

Let's get right onto the first one.

Description : A creamy blue-tone nude lipstick.
My thoughts on it: It glides on your lips really nicely, does not flake or dry out the lips, the only downside for me personally, is it makes my teeth look yellow because its blue tone so I seldom wear it. However, if you are looking a drugstore blue-tone nude lipstick for everyday wear, I'd definitely recommend to check out Bourjois range of lipsticks.

Description : A deep dark autumn brown matte liqiud lipstick that stays on your lips pretty much the whole day. Once it seals, it seals.
My thoughts on it : Formula wise, it's really great. It creates a stain on your lips without cracking or fading once it dries. The downside was the colour. I was given this colour and it was pretty hard to pull off with my fair skin, so it made me look pretty gothic. Also, the downside of the formula is that, once it stains (if it's outside your lipline), it's hard to rub off, so you need to ensure application is on-point with this liqiud lipstick.

Description : A moisturizing bright pink lipstick for a pop of colour. This vivid colour really knows how to pack a punch and isn't easily rub off by eating/drinking/kissing and etc.
My thoughts on it : It dried out my lips after about 2 hours of wearing, the colour stay is good - it leaves a nice stain to last throughout the day. What bugs me was the colour which is now way too bright for my liking, and the formula kinda dries out after a while. So I guess, it's about time for it to go. I've yet to tried out other Topshop lipsticks but I do hear they're pretty good.=]

Description : A velvet texture liqiud lipstick that lasts all day and feels light on your lips.
My thoughts on it : I've got one in a nude shade and I love that soo much. The formula is really great, lasts all day. The only time I need to touch up is when you've been drinking and eating a lot which is normally towards the end of the day. The colour is true to the tube & it feels really light on your lips. I don't think I need to mention about pigmentation because as you can see, it's really full-on. Bourjois isn't doing too bad on lipsticks to be honest :) Just this colour in particular is wayyy too far of my coluor range.

Description : A nice daily tinted lipbalm to help moisturize yet give your lips a healthy tinted look.
My thoughts on it : This formula of Baby Lips is different to the US packaging of Baby Lips. This formula flakes after a while upon application on me, I don't know why. I love the tint of it, not much of a fan of the scent. In terms of moisturisation, it moisturises for a tad bit before it dries and leaves your lips feeling flaky which I dislike. I'm not too sure if it's all colors of this range but for me, this colour was something I didn't personally like.

So those are the 5 lipsticks I'll be clearing from my recent collection. I love collecting lispticks so for me to get rid of some is difficult but at the end of the day, there is not much point in keeping things you rarely use only to let it take up space.

I hope this short little post, gave you a mini-insight into the products that I've tried. I'm not saying it'll not work for you, but who knows - mine could have been a glitch .
Anyways, I hope you have a nice day & I'll be back sometime next week for some brand new posts.

xx Gonna head back soon.
See you then. =]
Its travelling time.
