Self Help : The Ripple Effect

Hi there everyone,

Welcome back.
I'm currently on holiday at the moment so just bear with me.
It's nice to be away from the cold although its just a short period. Anyways, I've got a brand new post and it's all about

THE RIPPLE EFFECT.

I'm using this phenomenon to relate to what we think in our thoughts.
Ever heard of the phrase :

'What we think, we become'.

Well that's true. People say what you think of most, is what you'll get. But I believe, it also depends on what you give. So the ripple effect comes to play when, for example : You're an optimistic person and you think positive thoughts & see the good in every situation - doing so, allows you to find the good in others, hence making that circle around you positive too.

Well after reading all about it, I decided to give it a try.

*MY STORY*
Let's go back to 6 months or so before today - my life was a wreck. I was lost, I had no one, I was in a new place, new country, new work colleagues, everything was new about my life except my family and friends but they were 16000 miles away so it was easy for me to shut myself out from the world.

But I knew because I've done it before previously, that it wouldn't benefit me lots & it'll only make things worse if I continue to shut myself down and just 'hibernate' . So I decided this time, to take it one step at a time, believe in myself, and just be as positive as I can about every depressing situation.

Months go by .....

...
..
.

I got used to it - I got used to finding the good in every situation, and things started to change. I realize I seldom have a 'meltdown', I became a happier person, I became someone who was approachable - hence making more friends and from then on, I started to build my life and today, I'm a step closer to the life I've been dreaming of & I couldn't be happier :)

--------------------

I never thought I'll ever be who I am today, because of how insecure I was before, and how I kept thinking & feeling as everyone has something towards me ... but now, I just see myself as someone who is good enough and someone who has fought so much to become who I am today and it's makes me feel proud.
So I guess, it all started when I started to learn how to love myself and just believing in the good in me & let that guide me to more happiness ahead instead of focusing on my insecurities & negative thoughts.

....

So that's my story and this is who I am today. It's amazing how in a year you can change and I believe if you really want to, you can too. As you can see, the ripple effect is basically :
how a change in one's thought process can change someone's life.

[Thoughts --> Actions --> Attitude --> Character -->Who you are as a person-->Lifestyle]

In conclusion, a little goes a long way and it's okay if it takes time,
the good side of it is that,
you're changing for the better no matter how slow the change is - you're still changing & I believe that is something to be proud of.

I hope you found this post helpful,
I look forward to writing you more posts coming up ahead,
See you then,
:) G
