Beauty: November Empties 2015
Hello =) Hope your day has been alright. Just a quick usual post for you - an empties for November!
^^ I love doing empties post because not only it clears more room in my room but also , its nice to look back on products which I've finished & enjoy the satisfaction of using it all up!
#satisfied :D
...............................
Anyways, let's begin!
Left to Right:
[Soap & Glory Ultimelt , Boots Essential Cucumber Face Wash, La Roche Posay Serozinc, Soap & Glory Clarify Cleansing Gel, Garnier Light Day Cream]
¤ My take on it : Great for a 'pamper' night routine , it does melts into your skin ( doesn't foam up) , it comes with a cloth which is really soothing when you use it in your shower and just lay the warm cloth on your face to remove the cleanser -- relaxing! It does make your skin soft instantly.
HOWEVER,
I dont feel as if it 'cleans' my skin hence I don't use it as a regular cleanser but rather as an additional skin care item to have in my collection. Because of that, I wouldn't repurchase it although it was a good product while it lasted. =]
¤ My take on it : A great everyday light cleanser for those with sensitive skin. Just a plain ol basic cleanser to clean your face & refresh it in the morning/at night. It's a gel consistency hence it gives this 'refreshing boost' when you're massaging it to your face.
The down side:
Besides the basic clean feel, I dont feel any other benefit from this product. Yes the price is super duper reasonable and you definitely get way more than what you pay for, but you only have one face & you cleanse twice a day.. I rather spend those minutes washing my face with a product I enjoy using & a product that really uplifts my skin .
I would repurchase this in the future but not currently as this is the 2nd bottle I've used up and I'm quite sick of it right now - I need some NEW cleansers in my life! =X
¤My take on it : A gentle mist that contains zinc to calm redness. I used after I tone and before I moisturize. Does help with my acne at first but my skin developed tolerance so I do noticed that the effect degrades as you use more and more.
HOWEVER,
its a good facial mist to help boost moisture & refresh your skin. Plus its a really fine mist too compared to others which I've tried that feels as if you're 'spraying' water on your face. I've got to use up my 2nd bottle ;)
¤ My take on this: I love the smell of this. Definitely an uplifting grapefruit scent & the fact that its a gel texture just makes the whole 'cleansing' routine a tad bit more energizing which I love. They have microbeads in there to help exfoliate the skin which helps on a daily basis especially if you're wearing make up.
The down side:
I can't think of any. Its not as drying as the other gel-texture cleansers out there but in comparison with the other soap & glory cleansing products - this may be a bit drying/stripping on your skin but I do love it even so. =] Oh yeah -- it helped controlled my acne too (if that helps) .
¤My take on this : Its a thick texture for the day to be honest but I see how it's 'brightening'. It makes your skin illuminate and make it appear 'brighter from within'. It has SPF which is great for a daily moisturiser. The pot lasted me for at least 4 months so definitely worth the money.
HOWEVER,
I have oily combo skin, so it made my face looked as if it was really oily so I had to powder my face consistently but on the other hand, it provide long lasting moisture throughout the day. The other issue was that, because its such a thick cream, it felt pretty heavy on my skin considering its just a moisturiser .. so when I wear on make up on top of it, it makes my face feels packed on with products which I don't really like to be honest. So no, I would not repurchase simply because I prefer a thinner consistency day cream. But if you're looking a real nourishing one, this is one to try out!
¤ My take on it : Bought this because of its packaging, looked really tempting. To be honest, it was the worst shower gel/cream I've ever used. Although I got it for a pound, it wasn't my pound at all. Truly dissapointed because first off, the consistency was more a jelly - it did not lather at all (slip on and off of my body easily), didn't really felt like I've cleaned my body so I had to do it twice which annoyed me.
The only good thing is that:
It smells like Mangoes & Papaya but even so, the smell only lasted in the shower. On your skin, it probably lasted for about an hour and it fades. So I'd really suggest you not to try this range out from Imperial Leather - all their other ranges are pretty good, hence why I was truly dissapointed with this range.
¤My take on this: Lovely orange citrus scent, great for everyday wear. Smell does fade after about 3-4 hours but nevertheless, its a really nice scent for the mornings - makes you feel refresh & awake .
A bottle really do last a long time & you can decant it to your perfume atomizer if you have one! ;) I'd recommend the soap & glory fragrance, they're pretty underrated tbh.
I would buy it again but I'd like to try the other scents too - the one I'm eye-ing on is the Sugar Crush scent . <3 .

¤ My take on it : Ever since I've discovered this Nair Wax Strips, I've never tried any other brands. I love how its so quick and easy, and it does the job. =]
HOWEVER,
I use a different size strips for my legs, they normally are the bigger size ones so it covers more surface area. I use these ones on my underarms, and yes all waxing does cause is PAIN but I learn to get used to it because I think, the results are worth the pain =P
¤ My take on it: This is like the 2nd or 3rd bottle of Colab Dry Shampoo that I've used up. To me, I prefer this to Batiste simply because its 'invisible'. It soaks up the oil without any residue & it gives a natural finish to my hair which is what I love about it.
NOT to forget :
The scent. I've tried the floral ones before & now the tropical ones, and I love it . My fav is still New York (Black & Grey bottle) - however, I am on the hunt for new dry shampoo brands and I'm eye-ing on the Dove Dry Shampoo next :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Body Shop Big & Curvy Mascara (top)
GOSH Eyelashes Growth Serum (bottom)
¤ My take on it : This mascara gave me lengh, like really length and its quite a wet formula, so it makes it easy to 'sculpt' your lashes. I got this free when I bought a gift set back last Christmas .It's the first Body Shop mascara I've ever used.
The down side:
Although it gives great length, it makes my lashes really crispy after it dries & also its really hard to remove (have to use two soak in pads to remove it fully) and it gets worse when the formula itself starts to dry up. To be honest, I wouldn't repurchase it because I think there are better mascaras out there which provides better hold & are more gentle on your lashes.
¤ My take on it: This gosh serum is meant for your eyelashes to grow them out. But in my opinion, it stings my eyes when I apply it on the lashline which ends me up wiping it off, So I use it on my eyebrows instead, and it helps to promote the growth of the hair to make look fuller & thicker which is good
BUT
I didn't buy it for that purpose so because of that, its a real dissapointment. I wouldn't recommend or getting this Gosh Lengthening Serum because of that.
¤ My take on these : Some oral care time . I've used 2 toothpastes up. I generally turn to Aquafresh when I need a general cleanse so that's my 'instinct' product . However with the BlanX, its a whitening toothpaste and I found that it actually works. Like I noticed my teeth are instantly whiter after brushing
BUT
the problem with it was, the moment I ate or drank anything next, it stains it once again - for example : tea/coffee - it will dull the white shine it had just after brushing which makes this product not to my liking. So I wouldn't get it again but I'm on the hunt for more whitening toothpaste products next!so yay!
¤ My take on it : This is my new favourite breakfast/snack - it's the first ever Muesli I love eating. No kidding. I generally don't like anything that contains wheat or oats simply because it tastes blend. But I bought this because of the nuts in there - I love pecans ! I was in heaven when I tried it out one morning with milk - it was crunchy, tasty & it made me felt full throughout the whole morning & that was just about 4-5 tablespoons of it with milk.
So yes, DEFINITELY recommend.
Anyways, I hope you liked this lengthy post about my empties this month.
Hope you found it useful.
Sorry for the post delay, I wasn't feeling too well - was ill for the past few days but I'm back. =]
Anyways, see you in my next post,
