Self Help : Why its important to take some time off for yourself.

Hello readers,
Welcome back =]

Hope your day's been well. Because I can't wait for my day off this week! It's been a long week and words can't describe how tired I am. Try working long hours & coming home still to write my blogs & keep you guys updated - life is tough but I do it, because I enjoy blogging.

Anyways, today's post is all about taking time off - it's a pretty relaxed post & why sometimes its good for you to take some time off.

********************************************************************************

I mean, look at those pictures - don't they just make you float at peace in your mind? It makes you so relax just closing thinking about paradise. It is as if you're standing right there. =)

Here's few ways you could do to 'take some time off'

1) Do something different (  change up your routine ) - i.e : go to the gym, explore a new restaurant for dinner, watch a new movie, cook something new, have a night out with friends . Do something you don't normally do to refresh your mind from work.

2) Embrace your annual holidays. Instead of sitting at home, lazing around - take that oppurtunity to go explore a new city or to see the world. Let new places inspire you so that when you return, you're more recharged about life than ever.

3) Do your hobbies - whether it's photography, singing, writing, dancing, playing an instrument, - anything really .. do something that you feel passionate about & I'm sure it'll help melt the stress away.

4) Learn something new. There's no better way to take your focus off work by putting new focus & objectives onto learning something new. New skills, new methods, new way of life and etc.

5) If all else fails - dedicate a day to yourself to clean. I know it sounds crazy, but cleaning your room or cleaning the house - can really help you feel better. It not only distracts you from what's going on but also, it helps de-clutter your environment which in return, makes you feel better about your surroundings.

Most of the time, we forget how important it is to take some time off - and I recommend that we do it every so often so that we re-direct our goals & life long plans to what's really important to us rather than doing something the same way for the rest of your life.

For me, when I'm stressed or I feel exhausted from work here's what I do

* I cook myself a nice meal
* Have a pamper night to myself (taking a nice bath, listening to some nice nature music, doing a face mask , paint my nails, and etc)
*Watch my favourite show / youtube
* Blog or do some photography (whether it's editing pictures or playing around with my camera) is something I really enjoy #geek
* Laugh it out by watching some comedies.
* Going to bed early & relaxing before that too.

As you can see, work isn't part of that schedule. And somehow, this routine helps me rejuvenate & refresh my mind for the next day to come. =]

~ I hope you like this post - It's a lil bit difficult to write simply because it's a vague subject but nevertheless, it's something that we should not ignore but acknowledge how important it is to take time for ourselves.

It's just like sleep - no matter what you do in a day, you always need to sleep (Let your body rest & hibernate for that 8 hours so you could wake up feeling energized & ready to take on the day)

Same goes to taking time off - it helps you clear your mind, make you focus better at work & it makes you manage your stress a lot more better too.

So don't ever feel bad for taking time for yourself even if you're a relationship and etc - sometimes there will be days where we just want to be alone & enjoy our own company and there's nothing wrong with that :)

So go , enjoy yourself - don't take work too seriously.

Don't forget you've got a life to live too
outside of work ;)
Speak to you soon,
G.
