So what should we do from here then?
You've got 2 options.
[Either let them control you OR you control them]
I think most of us have been through this stage of feeling insecure about how our friends/family/public eye thinks & it gets us really emotionally affected most of the time , either in a positive way or in a negative way.
The problem is,the more you try to get that attention from others, the more you lose yourself. So instead of doing things that makes others feel happy or appreciate you more, do things that YOU feel happy about , no matter how the outcome is - that way, you live life more honest & the things/people that you look for OR share the same qualities as you, will come into your life naturally.
Things to tell yourself to fight that insecurity :
1) Love the things you do (even the quirky things)
~ When you love yourself for the imperfect nature that you are, you'll have this self confidence that no one can ever bring down. If you're looking for a way to strengthen your inner self, this is one of the ways to do it & it's the happier approach as well.
2) Be your own brand.
~ If you see yourself as a new brand coming out into a new world, what would you like to be? How would you like to potray, what are the values and etc? Use those to build your own brand using yourself as the first representation of it. So yes , every brand is unique & that's what we're going for!
3) Tell yourself this :
~ On days where you just can't seem to find your confidence to be your own self, just tell yourself that. Go out there & own it!

Don't allow others to define you but yourself,
