Beauty: Boots Haul (July 2016)
Hey everyone,
Welcome back !
Hope your week so far has been great. I've got a brand new beauty post for you. Haven't done a Boots haul post in a while so these are some of the things I've gathered & bought within the last month.
[Disclaimer : As with this type of post, I just want to say : I did bought it all myself and all the reviews/comments that I wrote alongside with it are my true honest opinion about the product. I may have received a bad batch of certain products but don't take it too hard as who knows, it may work for you , just not for me this time around.]
I hope this post gives you a quick and easy overlook with these products I've got.
Enjoy~
I went to Boots this time in 2 different times, so here's the first time I went & the things that I've got.
Things I bought :
1.) Loreal Superliner in Black - Tried this already : So far, it works great & it's super black too .
2.) Loreal True Match Concealer - Am using this too, almost running out [ small tube ] ; colour is a bit lighter than what I expected & I tried using under the eyes but it creased, not impressed.
3.) Nyx Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Ice Mocha - This is a nice shade for an everyday bronze eye look, quick and easy.
4.) Rimmel 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Brixton Brown - This palette was a let down, not all colours were pigmented and some were even powdery. Not worth the hype.
5.) Max Factor Smokey Eye Drama Kit - This was however worth the hype, small lil kit - perfect for travelling & shadows were pigmented & last for a pretty long time too.
6.) Benefit Mini Hoola Bronzer - A small one lasts you for longer than you think . So far, I'm loving it! But where it's so pigmented, it's very easy to go 'overboard'. So keep it light handed, otherwise - I see why it's a cult product.
* Ignore the fleur de force palette, I got that from FeelUnique & I was contemplating on whether to do a Boots haul or a make up haul before I decided :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As for the 2nd visit to Boots, I've got more things again.
7.) Nyx HD concealer wand in Lavender - My first colour corrective concealer, it's quite pigmented but it does brighten up my dark areas of my face.
8.) Soap & Glory SexyMother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist - By far the best nude lipstick out there for me to wear on a daily basis. Colour is right, formula is so balm-like. I love it so much , I bought back ups.
9.) Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paolo - My first NYX lip cream I've bought to try, the colour is WAY to pigmented & too opaque for my liking. However the lasting power is really great.
10.) Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Acne Back Spray - This product broke me out, like it gave me more pimples and acne compared to healing them. What a waste of money!
11.) Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub - Among all the scrubs from S&G, I love this scent the best . It's not too sweet and not too floral. =)
12.) Clinique Even Better Clinical 30mL - My 2nd clinique product I've tried from them. So far I don't see any difference but it doesn't break me out & it acts as a great serum before moisturiser.
13.) Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Shine Free Daily Moisturiser - Use this daily now, impressed although I wasn't with the back spray. Definitely controls my acne & tame it down, recommend!
14.) Vichy Normaderm Anti-Blemish Care Serum - I bought this the same time as the clinique even better clinical for my acne scars, I'd say this is a drugstore alternative. Feels the same on the skin , keeps it hydrated just as good.
15.) Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent - 3rd time I'm buying this. Not much to say besides, it does give you a white layer of powder although it's translucent but otherwise, it keeps me matte so no complains there.
And there you have it!
All the products I've got this month of July from Boots, do let me know if you're keen in knowing a particular product more , so I can do a more in-depth review for you.
Hope you enjoyed reading it & do share with me your favourites too.
Till then,
Stay Beautiful,
G.
