Relationship : Allowing your ex to be in your life?

Hey everyone,
Welcome back!

Today's post is all about exes! So yes, you're finally through the heartbreak stage & you can officially live referring to your past partner as an ex, and you're finally moving forward. Suddenly one day, he/she pops back into your life - either through a text message or you bump into each other in real life, and suddenly he/she wants to be friends again?

Should you? Should you not?

The thought that lingers in your head.

It's difficult, because on one end - you tell yourself you're ready to be friends again with that person you were once comfortable with, and on the other, you're afraid past feelings may come back & it'll complicate things even more.

The answer is up to you.

The thing is :
Heartbreak changes you & it changes the way you look at that person too , obviously it depends on the situation (i.e: how did it ended, what happened and how close you both were) . Sometimes, if you give enough time apart, exes can become friends once again & remained that, and sometimes the situation doesn't work itself out & you both can't.

To be more specific, I guess - in my personal opinion, it's hard being friends with your ex, especially when they start dating other people . However, if you're open & used to seeing having
them dating other people without feeling loss or jealous - then by all means, why not ?

So at the end of the day,
there's no wrong or right on this question.

It all comes to whether you can still trust the other person to be your friend, and it also rely on whether you both are willing to make this new friendship work despite the past & to move past it.

With that, I wish you all the best if you're going through it but remember this quote down below:

You don't have to prove to your ex that you're doing well, that you're more successful, that you're happier when you're really not because truth is, life is too short to live through constantly proving people wrong. Just do what makes you happy most & that's it - the rest, doesn't matter.

So chase after what makes you happy, otherwise don't waste your time,
Hope this post inspired you to decide now,

Good luck,
G.
It's good to be back :)
