Beauty : November 2016 Skin Favourites

Hey everyone,

It's time for another :

The month of November, I've been focusing a lot on my skin care rather than trying out different make up styles. With the dry weather & seasons changing, my skin is adapting to the changes as well. So to me personally, it's about having moisturized glowy healthy skin this winter.

If you're still interested, keep on reading. ..

In my routine, I've got a morning routine along with a night routine and some products I only use it at night and some only during the day.

If you don't already know my skin type , well .. it's Acne prone combination skin

With that, let's get right onto it.
All above are the main skin care products I'm currently using.

Let's begin with the eyes :

Review :
Hyalamide : Been using it for the whole month, it's meant to reduce puffiness in the eyes & remove dark circles. I bought them to try it out cause of the reviews that I've read. It's a light lotion consistency that gets absorbed quickly under the eyes. As it says, it's more a serum rather than a deep moisturizing eye cream. So if you have dry under eyes, I wouldn't recommend this to you & also based on my experience so far, it is pretty expensive for what it is & it didn't exactly get rid of my eye bags & as for the dark circles, if you're someone who still lacks of sleep while using this, it wouldn't work. I'd wouldn't recommend tbh cause mainly the cost of it outweighs the expectations.

Origins : I used this in the morning everyday and not only do I love the scent of this whole range from Origins (it's so refreshing especially in the morning) but it help wake up my eyes especially when I'm tired and I feel completely awake & refreshed after. It also helps brighten my undereye (not as how concealer does but it brightens from within over time) and because of these reasons, it makes the product worth buying for me. A small pot of it, lasts ages too which is another reason why I love it.

Reviews :
Aveeno : Bought this cleanser while I was in the states & bought it particularly I saw on my favourite youtubers swearing by it and because I have acne prone skin & Aveeno is a brand that promotes healthy skin - I decided to give it a go. It's a foaming cleanser with a pump, it does not dry out my skin & it keeps it clean right after which is why I'm impressed with it. However, there is one downside to it - after using half the bottle, the pump started to go a little funny. It's a bit harder to get the product out but for all I know, it could just be mine that was slightly dodgy in packaging but nevertheless, I'd still recommend this cleanser to anyone.

Botanics: This is my 2nd bottle, it's quick - it's easy - it's refreshing & it's reasonably priced for a facial mist as a quick pick-me-up . I use it in the mornings & also whenever I feel like refreshing my skin during the day . Because it's made out of rosewater, it's gentle & toning my skin too which is 2 in 1 really, so am happy about it. However, if you're comparing it to the Caudalie Beauty Elixir - maybe not as good but if you're in the market for an alternative - this can be it.

Review:
Una Brennan : I've ran out of my recent night cream & decided to jump and try this brand out for once. I tried their cleanser before & loved it and so I thought ; why not? Tbh, it's a really thick night cream & definitely not to be used during the day. However for a night cream, it's so moisturizing & I swear to you - I wake up the next day and my skin feels elastic, it feels soft & smooth. For the price of it, you can't go wrong. Love this product a lot.

Origins : This is a gel-light moisturizer, smells of oranges & it doesn't make your skin look oily plus it absorbs really quick into the skin too without making it dry in anyway. It's my first time trying out Origins moisturizer , and I love it for the day time - did I mention about the scent! It's so invigorating & refreshing when you apply it first thing in the morning & also not to forget, it makes your skin glow in a healthy way . It is quite pricey cause of the brand but it's worth the pricetag.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So there you go, my November skin care favourites lined up for you. These are the current products I'm using on a daily basis & just thought I should let you know that I bought them with my own money too so yes, I do understand sometimes , it can be difficult to splurge on skin care products because the price range can be a big determining factor but when it comes to your skin, sometimes you've got to know what's best & go for it,

I hope this helps & hope to see you in my next one,
G.
