Self Help: How to get out of the rut
Hey everyone,
Welcome back!
Ever had that feeling of doing the same thing all over again & again & again until you feel overwhelmed, tired & tbh - can't be bothered . We've all been there , we've had those day & you know what.. it's perfectly normal.
There's too many things going on on ONE day and sometimes, we only attend to those matters that's urgently required by today & leave the rest for tomorrow & long term results of this habit is that, for those things we ignore/procrastinate to fix - it leaves us feeling drained, demotivated & exhausted.
So here are some ways I've personally tried that helped me when I was in that situation.
(PS : May take time & discipline for it to work)
1.) Change your routine
If you're like me who finds a routine very satisfying upon completing it everyday, make sure you change it up every so often. Start with small changes. It gives you variety & it makes you appreciate your daily routine even more. For example : I enjoy pampering my skin & myself mostly on Mondays & Fridays, so when it comes to those days - I be sure to change them up. Either paint my nails instead of doing a face mask and etc. Little changes sometimes makes the biggest difference.
2.) Force yourself out of your comfort zone
It may be the hardest thing to do at first but it's the first start to change your life. Forcing yourself to go out and CHANGE, takes courage & courage is what you need to motivate you forward. Sometimes we need that little push to get us going . So if you have your close friends with you, get them to support you by doing something new together for a change or why not try something new all together for example : joining a new gym or trying out a new hobby.
3.) Change your surroundings
In relation to the point above, changing your surroundings gives us new perspective at life and it'll gives us more clarity to what really matters more to us & it's vital when we feel like we're stuck in a rut. It can take just a walk out in the park, or on a forest trail or even exploring a new city / new place - a simple change like that can inspire us to look at the bigger picture & to realize that life has more to it than just your circle of routines.
4.) See the world
Lastly, if you ever get stuck - travel! Travelling has a tendency to heal the soul of it's routine nature. It's the feeling you get of relieve,stress-free ,'paradise' feeling when we put ourselves away from our everyday environment. The world is so big out there, so much for you to see. So if you get demoralized by life's challenges, always remember - there's a whole other world out there waiting to inspire you.

With that, I hope this short sweet post has helped you see the bigger picture & has given you that little 'push' you needed to go out of your comfort zone.
Take care & I shall see you in my next post,
Lots of love,
G.
