Self Help : How to find peace when you're stressed?
Hey everyone,
Welcome back!
Hope your week so far wasn't too bad & you're enjoying your weekend, I've got a brand new post for you in case you're feeling stressed/worked up at the end of the week. I've always tried to clear as much as work as I can from the previous week so I don't have to carry them forward, so if you're feeling stressed today, here are some steps to find some peace for when you're feeling worked up.
When you're working in a busy city or place, stress can build up easily until you adapt & all you do is work work work, but that's not how life is made out to be. Life is all about balance & you can't have all of it without any balance, so to help with that, we've got a few ways that could potentially help yourself feel a lot calmer & peaceful in your mind during these moments.
1.) Practice mindfulness
Do this everywhere you go, the best thing about it is that, it's all in your head- it doesn't matter where you are, if you can learn to shut out the surroundings & focus on calming the mind, it can work. As part of mindfulness is to also listen to what your body is telling you. Don't go stress eating or getting yourself drunk over a stressful matter, instead fill those time up with activities that will benefit your mind & spirit, like meditation or exercise or writing in a journal to get it out and etc.
2.) Know that this phase is only temporary.
By knowing that everything happens will eventually go away, it teaches you not to take things too personally . So remember that, every stressful moment is only temporary or any heartache etc will not last forever, it may seem like it will but that's one thing that will change.
3.) Have a mental break.
When you have situations where you become overwhelmed with everything that's going on - either you have work behind your back, family issues, relationships, and life itself all going wrong , the best thing to do is to have a break. As difficult as it is to find time to do so, it's something you have in control to allow yourself to do. So like eating, you eat when you're hungry - no matter how busy you are, you schedule time for lunch for example. So , similar concept to this point whereby, if you're stressed out or overwhelmed which is completely normal to be in if things get too much, schedule time away from it - let yourself relax before heading back in. That way, not only will you be more productive but also, you'll be able to concentrate a lot better at what you do.
4.) Be hopeful & begin again.
Lastly, when all else fails - just have hope inside you that tomorrow will be a better day, stay positive and end today doing something you enjoy at the very least. Then when tomorrow comes, start it all again but this time with a plan and be well rested ready to go!
With that, I hope these 4 ways help you get on with your stressful days a lot better. For more quotes or to see what I've been up to, check out my Instagram @Gennaxnyou .
