Relationships : Does distance helps when it comes to relationship ?
Hey everyone,
Welcome back to a brand new post!
I'm liking this new routine of mine , having to be able to post more content up for you to read =) , does really make my day.
Anyways, hope you're doing well. Today's post is about relationships (haven't done one in ages) . We're going to talk about distance. It's something I personally had to learn & go through. I did find it interesting though how amazing distance can sometimes help rekindle your love in a relationship.
The theory behind it is so odd but definitely it works. Well, to be fair - it's a risk. It can either go good or go south completely. But let's focus on the positive here ;)
Here are the benefits that distance can bring to a relationship.
1.) It makes us appreciate the other person so much more.
Ever missed someone & gone way past 'missing you' to 'I can't wait to see you'? Yeah, it's that anticipation to see that look on their face when you both see each other again. It's that moment that makes it worth the wait. Time also makes us appreciate all the thing we like and hate about that person - it teaches us to take them as they are & to love them as who they are.
2.) It lets you focus on yourself too
Being in a relationship means being able to share your life with the other person & vice versa. Most of the time relationship don't work out is because they spend every minute together that they start to lose interest in one another because they don't spend any time apart . So having some time to yourself may seem difficult at first but it's for the greater good for you & your relationship. Of course then, you have the issue of 'how much time apart is good before it gets bad?
3.) There will be more things to talk about.
Ever hit a rough patch in your relationship where you start to feel bored & you start picking fights with one another? Well, distance helps you find more stories as you start doing things separately, it gives you time to share with one another the new things that happened in a day.
4.) Make you less dependent on them.
When things get too clingy or too much, it can be a turn off. Imagine if your partner clings on to you and not do anything else with their life, it becomes a little bit 'err...get off me' right? So having distance between you two helps you both live your own lives & achieving your own dreams with him/her next to you always :)
5.) You owe it to yourself.
Lastly, we can't spend the rest of our life being CONSTANTLY next to our partner, it'll only ruin us & ruin them too. So save yourself from all that drama but having everything in moderation. Yes you probably love your partner more than anything else in the world :) but how can you love your partner if you don't give love to yourself first?
There you go,
I hope these 5 tips makes you realize the importance of moderation & also the benefits of not being too clingy (we've all been there xP) .
Life is meant to be enjoyed, so give back some time to yourself by focusing on your goals too x
Good luck & all the best,
G.
