Self Help: Taking the time to grow up

Hey everyone,
Welcome back!

Today I'm going to write about growing up & how it changes us to bring us where we are today. WARNING : It's going to be a deep post. ;)

Yes I do love writing deep, either expressing my deepest thoughts and sharing them with the world.Anyways, when it comes to growing up, its one of those things where I'm still getting grip on. Its a hard transition not going to lie. One moment you're living your student life & the next, here comes the bills, insurance & responsibility. :O

Here's how to make that transition less TOUGH on yourself physically and mentally.

1.) Start to accept that it's merely part of life.

Growing up means being old & mature enough to take control of your life. It's about taking some of the responsibility your parents hold for you to ease them & to help them relax a little. By accepting that it's natural & its a normal path of life, it ease the worry of 'what to do' & panic. Once you can accept it in your mind, it's a great step forward to growing up.

2.) Learn to cope with changes around you.

The fact that growing up is making you feel anxious is based on the fact that you find it difficult to cope with anything that change. Similar to me, I have a big deal of coping with change, I find it stressful-hard-difficult to the point I'm unwilling to change until I realized one day that I'm holding myself back & by doing so, I'm making myself more stressed out than I should be. Hence from then on, I learn to change my perspective about life & trust it more. I do it over the years & looking back, I did noticed a significant improvement especially in my mental health to accept changes & grow with them.

3.) Follow your heart

The main key thing is to always listen to your body. When it comes to growing up & changes , you've got to trust yourself . Forget about social media & forget about comparing. Everyone has their own capabilities, aims & individuality . Hence, no person are alike, so be what you want to be & own what's on your path & take it 'like a man' :D

4.) Making your own decisions.

Once you mastered step no.3 and have learnt to trust yourself a little bit more, then here's the tough part : here's to making your own decisions. This takes the most time out of any of the points mentioned here. It takes experience, it takes effort & it takes strength from within. It's about learning, then failing and getting back up again. So don't ever give on yourself .

For us, it's the only way we grow. Through mistakes, through hurt, through life changing episodes. It's what makes our life so filled with all walks of life & it's what makes our life worth living.

I hope this quick little post has set you out to be less worried about growing up & has made you feel a tad bit more happier than before.

Before you set out on your adventure,
let me wish you with a warm heart,
Good Luck =)

G.
