Happy New Year - End of 2020, Beginning of 2021.
Hi everyone,
Welcome back! Happy New Year!
I hope you had a cozy warm celebration at home, I think most of us had. Anyways, 2020 has been really rough and I do hope 2021 will bring us all better times. I would like to dedicate this post to those who lost someone this year, who was working throughout the lockdown and for everyone who faced hardships this year. The end of the tunnel may seem far away but we must not lose hope. It's important to realize that a little goes a long way. If we keep ourselves safe, we also protect those that we come across everyday safe. It forms this domino effect that will eventually end this pandemic. So, let's all have some hope, be kind and keep ourselves safe.
With that being said, let's move to today's post. We are now back in lockdown again in the UK. Either in Tier 3 or Tier 4, we are under lockdown rules, once again. As devastating and depressing Christmas was in 2020, we ring in the New Year with another quiet celebration. To begin 2021 quiet, it allows us all to reflect on 2020 and see what changes we would like in 2021. Whether it's a personal change or a goal you would like to achieve, now is the perfect time to reflect. For me, I have learnt to ask myself different questions to set up 2021 as compared to the usual template of questions.
Here are my questions for 2021:
1) What do I want to achieve this year
2) What can I do that is fully in MY control to make sure my mental health is not neglected
3) What hobbies would I like to get into or focus on
4) Who do I want to keep in my life & which relationships do I need to further nurture
5) What are my personal goals that would make me feel good?
6)How can I track my progress?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By using the SMART pathway, it allows me to create a vision for myself in 2021. Even if the pandemic continues on, I can see myself progressing which is the main thing for me. With this, I have decided to create a bullet journal to track my progress throughout the year.
I am looking forward to seeing changes and 2020 has taught me that we need to adapt to changes more often rather than be affected from change. In terms of The Mindful Corner, I have decided that I won't be posting much make up content anymore as I have set up an Instagram account under the name @mindfulbeauty_tmcwhere I post all things make up related. If you're into make up as I do, feel free to follow me. I am planning to continue Project Pan on there. :) This blog space will be used to share content about being more present, being more grateful, being more positive and being more kind to others.
I also decided to not make much plans on what I will be posting about as I will go with the flow in 2021. 2020 has taught me to adapt and adapt, we will. So in terms of the frequency, it may not be as consistent however I will let you know through my Instagram when I do post something new. I really appreciate you following me throughout all these time and I hope 2021 will be a great year for you too.
So keep your eyes open and may 2021 bring us all new sense of freedom and happiness.
That's it for today's post,
short and sweet but I will leave you with a question to ask yourself...
What is the ONE thing you would dedicate your time to in 2021?
See you in my next post,
G.
