Beauty: November 2024 Favourites

Welcome back! I'm trying to catch up on these monthly beauty favourites from last year, so please bear with me.  Anyways, let's reflect onto my November beauty favourites. This month, I've not used a lot of make up simply because I'm trying to focus more on my skin care.

With the weather changing and becoming colder, my skin has been dry. There are days where I've been going make up free to work just to let my skin breathe. So here are my favourites from when I've been using make up.

For primers, eyebrow, powder and setting mist - I'm still using the same ones I've posted about before, hence why I did not include them. If you want to know what they are, please check out my previous favourite posts.

For foundation, I've opted for a light breathable foundation this month which is the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturiser. I have the shade, 7W and 5N. Both of which, I use either on it's own or together to match my skin tone. The shade, 7W is my 2nd bottle and I absolutely love this tinted moisturiser. It's light, easy to blend, gives a skin-like finish and stay all day.

It's the perfect coverage for me to use when I'm breaking out, when my skin is dry and when I want a light cover to even out my skin tone. There are plenty of shades to choose from as well so if you're looking for a tinted moisturiser, I definitely recommend the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturiser - it comes in a pump, what more can you ask for? 👍

For blusher, I've been rotating them so this month, I've used a lot of Elf Blush and Highlighter Duo in Lychee. These came out roughly the same time as the Elf Bite Size Quads and these are GOOD. Super pigmented blush and highlighter so a little goes a long way.

The shade, Lychee is a lovely peachy-pink blush. I don't use the highlighter because it's too pink for my skin tone but the blush is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I can't see it on the ELF website anymore - it might be discontinued but if you do see it stores like Superdrug and you're looking for an affordable blusher, this is as good as the Essence Blushes.

The single eyeshadow that I've been using tons of this month is my Colourpop Supershock Shadow in Bubbly. Unfortunately, it's no longer available in the Colourpop site hence I've linked Temptalia's site to give you more context about the shade. It's a glitter topper kind of shadow so it can be added on top of any eyeshadow look.

I find it useful when I want to add a little sparkle to my eyeshadow look of the day. It's mixes well with the metallic shades from my ABH palette so I've been enjoying using them in combination with each other this month.

For lip products, I have 3. The first one is Colourpop Disney Lux Lipstick in Moana. I've linked the whole set but previously, you were able to buy them individually which is what I did. This 'Moana' shade is a lovely everyday nude that's not too pink or brown. It's a lovely autumnal/winter shade to use when I want a darker nude lip look. The formula is similar to all other Lux Lipstick range - very opaque and creamy. A little goes a long way and they are very hydrating on the lips.

The next lipstick is the Elf Sheer Slick Lipstick in Black Cherry. This is a light but buildable lip colour that is easy to apply and hydrating. It's like a tinted lip balm. This shade is Black Cherry is supposed to resemble the 'Clinique Black Honey Lipstick', however I find this one a little too patchy and too plum when compared to black honey.

It's not bad on it's own however the formula can be a bit patchy and it slips and slides all over your lips even with a lip liner hence making it quite difficult to use, however if you apply a thin layer ie like a lip balm, it gives you nice wash of colour especially during this winter season.

It gives a deep berry look and I like how the packaging just reminds me of summer.

Last but not least, my most used lip gloss of the month is Elf Mint Melt Lip Gloss in Chocolate. They are no longer sold on the ELF website but they still are available from Amazon. It works well, it's a thinner consistency gloss compared to their lip plumping gloss range but it's opaque. It has a slight tingle feel upon application but I love the range for the colours.

It's glossy without being sticky, lovely nude shades and smells like chocolate! Why not 💗. I also bought the chocolate chip colour too so I swap between this and that sporadically. The applicator is a good size making application smooth and even. So far, the Elf's glosses have not disappointed me at all.

Sorry for having so many Elf products this month, I did not realize this until I put them all together 😁. The last product of the month is the ABH Jackie Aina Palette. This one came out in August 2019 so it's now discontinued but if you have this palette, it is a staple this time of the year.

It's the best ABH palette for me, better than Soft Glam because of how versatile it is. I can do a nude look, a bright eye look or a grungy smoky eye look with 3 shadows. The mattes are spot on, easy to blend and vibrant. The metallics are rich and long lasting. Honestly, a classic palette that I will keep using until I hit pan.

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you have any make up favourite, would love to know what's your holy grail product or a must-have.

Thank you for reading.
See you in my next update,
G
