Beauty: November 2024 Favourites

Image
Welcome back! I'm trying to catch up on these monthly beauty favourites from last year, so please bear with me.  Anyways, let's reflect onto my November beauty favourites. This month, I've not used a lot of make up simply because I'm trying to focus more on my skin care.  With the weather changing and becoming colder, my skin has been dry. There are days where I've been going make up free to work just to let my skin breathe. So here are my favourites from when I've been using make up.  For primers, eyebrow, powder and setting mist - I'm still using the same ones I've posted about before, hence why I did not include them. If you want to know what they are, please check out my previous favourite posts.  For foundation, I've opted for a light breathable foundation this month which is the  Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturiser . I have the shade, 7W and 5N. Both of which, I use either on it's own or together to match my skin tone. The shade, 7W ...

Beauty: October 2024 Favourites

Welcome back, I'm back with another favourite beauty post, and this time it's about my October beauty favourites.  This month, for the sake of Halloween, I've been using more grungy colours with my eyeshadow looks. Even with blush/lipstick choices, I'm reaching for more darker nude shades.  I find it so interesting how my make up style changes dramatically from season to the next. It's time to bring out my duo chromes, cool tone metallic shades, and smoky colours to create a well fitted seasonal look.  For the base, I'm still using my  Revolution Mattify Primer  to give me a hydrated matte base. It's a silicon primer so it smooths out my pores at the same time. I've been using this primer for a good 8 months and to be honest, it's not a bad primer considering its £6.99 and it has lasted me this long. It does not cause my make up to peel like some other mattifying primers can do.  Would definitely reconsider purchasing it again if needed or trying ano...

Travel: Koh Lipe, Thailand

Image
Welcome back to another post. We visited Koh Lipe in Feb 2023 and I know I'm like 2 years behind on this,   but if you have not heard or been to this island before, this place is definitely something to add to your list if you're visiting Langkawi, Malaysia.  It's only a  1 hour 30 minutes ferry ride  to the lovely island of Koh Lipe from Langkawi. Although that seems like a long time, these ferries are well equipped with AC and comfy seats. I remember some parts of it was a bit choppy so if you tend to get seasick, I would advise to take seasickness medication to prevent getting nauseous.  Once you get there, the first thing you see is the clear turquoise water surrounding the island. Koh Lipe is a small island, there's only one main high street where most of the bars/restaurants/shops are - the rest goes off into the villager's homes.  It's easy to navigate and there are no cars/buses, so you either get around by foot or by motorcycles. It can get b...

Beauty: September 2024 Favourites

Image
Welcome back, I know I am SO FAR behind on these favourites post but I would like to keep them regular, so let's reflect back to my log for September and let me share with you some of my favourite products I was using in that month.  I was picking out my neutral eyeshadow palettes. For some reason, I'm using less brighter colours and opting for more everyday eye look. As you can tell, my make up looks is also transitioning into more autumnal colours.  This is one of the reasons why I love playing with make up, it's my creative outlet and I love how the seasons can influence it.  My favourite primer of the month is  Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Primer . I only use 2 primers at the moment, it's this and the Revolution primer that I listed in my previous favourites post. This primer, I've been using it since Oct 23 and honestly, is it worth the £32 price tag? No.  Yes it's moisturising, it allows my make up to blend well but it's nothing special. I don't no...
