December Favourites 2014

Image
Hi everyone it's FAVOURITES time! I've got some make up to show that I've been LOVING this month! ^^ Soo excited.  So pretty much, my skin has been in the 'recovery' phase of acne so I've been using these products daily to help cover them up for work!  1: Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream : I use it in replace of my foundation as I prefer the colour match for this winter season and it has salicylic acid. Check out this link for a full review on it :  http://gennaxnyou.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/todays-focus-maybelline-dream-pure-bb.html  . 2: Vichy Dermablend : Its a thick concealer so sometimes I used it as a foundation as well. Real creamy and it helps cover up my acne and it lasts for ages too. To know more about it check it out here :  http://gennaxnyou.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/vichy-dermablend-concealerfoundation.html  . 3: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer : Famous all-time acne cover-up and cheap concealer. Does the job, blends really w...

Vichy Dermablend Concealer/Foundation Stick.

Image
Heyy, because I've been struggling with some acne lately and my collection concealer works but I feel like I need something more creamier & thicker that would last longer on my skin too. So I went out to the drug store the other day and found this product. So this is the : Vichy Dermablend Concealer/Foundation Stick Costs:  £15.00   Contains SPF 30 Comes in 5 different shades only. Thick consistency Does last long Full coverage if used as a concealer  Doesn't flake as compared to other stick concealers Creamy texture Best results if blended using fingers.  Contains Salicylic acid for acne-prone skin - Personal opinion: As I said,I'm using it to cover my acne. It does a great job at covering scars, redness and hyperpigmentation but just bear in mind, if you have a raised acne, any concealer you use no matter how thick or full coverage it is, it will still look raised after.  It worked great for me, love the textur...

Places to exercise BESIDES the gym! xx

Image
Heyy everyone, few more days before New Years / the year ends, so we've got to keep it going. We're so close and we can't let the holidays give in to all the excuses to not exercise. So yes, I've got a few suggestions if you're on the go or you're not at your home city to go to your usual gym OR you're just not a gym kind of person and want to achieve similar results. ;) Here are some ideas. 1) Outdoor Sports. Try a new outdoor sport (rollerblading, football, jogging, skiing, kayaking, swimming). Those sports can make you have fun and burn you loads of calories at the same time. Why NOT? 2) Indoor Sports . You don't always to be indoors in a gym to lose weight. Engaging yourself in a sport activity especially team sports will also boost your teamwork/social skills whilst losing weight. For example, badminton/squash/basketball/rock climbing/table tennis.  3) Daily Errands. In addition to those usual sporting activities, your da...

Today's Focus: Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream.

Image
Hi, it's been a while since I last posted that is beauty-related. Today I'm here to tell you about this product that I've been using on most of the days, and have been using it instead of foundation. It's the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream.  Now that it's winter here, my skin gets really dry so my skin have been breaking out like mad. And using foundation has seemed to make it worse probably because it block my pores due to the high coverage it has so I've been giving that a break at the moment cause I want my acne to go away. So I know there has been a lot of review about this product around, so I went to the drugstore and had a look at it and decided to get it. Why? Because of two reasons: a) It has Salicyclic acid AND SPF 15. b) A BB cream is a lighter coverage and easier to apply than foundation. It was £6.99 and it comes in 30mL. Here's how it looks on my skin: That is just one layer applied.  Verdict: It is...

The Reason Why I started Blogging.

Daily Entry. Just one of those days where I feel urgh . I just wanted to cuddle up in bed, close out the world and just cry. Cry because of all the pain that has been bundled up inside and is waiting to come out, cry because I did my best every single day and I still feel its not good enough and cry because I feel bad for those who are still out there suffering.  I am grateful for what I have, and where I've come from but sometimes I wonder, did I just bring this all onto myself ? Did I ask to be hurt and feel the pain as such now?  I wonder because, I made the decisions and now I have to deal with the consequence. Is it because I'm a stubborn-head that makes me go against what people demand from me? Well, yes. Because I find somewhere deep inside me, there is someone waiting to come out, and that's why I decided to blog because sharing is something I love doing. Sharing my thoughts and ideas and inspiring people. Everyone told me 'Noo, it's not worth...

November Empties . 2014

Image
Hii y'all, my first ever November Empties ( I know it's not much but I figured, 'let's get this ball rolling anyways'.)  First off, this month has been more of favourites than an empties in terms of what I've been using so don't judge. I promise December would be more an empties as I have a few more products finishing soon! So keep a look out for that, in the mean time. Here are my November Empties for you. As winter gets more dominant during this month, my skin started to get dryer so moisturising my skin became one of the most essential thing to do DAILY. How can I not finish up a moisturizer like this?   It's the Vaseline Essential Moisture Lotion Original Version . It's in the smaller pack as I was travelling quite a bit between October and November too so this was very handy to bring along. Quality wise, works as a moisturizer and it doesn't leave a thick feeling on your skin which is great if you're looking for a light...

November Favourites 2014.

Image
Hii, it's November Favourites time, and there are quite a few things I've been using & loving this month that I can't get enough of. I tried to make it on a variety of categories so let's see what favourites have I got this month for you. :)  BEAUTY Will do a more detailed review on those two products above because they are JUST so great that I can't summarize them up in a caption so you'll have to look out for that if you're interested but they're both REALLY good products & I've been using it everyday since I've got them. Excuse the messed out/disoriented blending on my hand, but this cream blush produces one of the most natural flush on your cheeks. The picture is definitely for Illustration purposes cause obviously, you don't apply so much product on your face - that's wayy overboard. Because it's a cream blush, it last on your cheeks longer than a powder blush and a little goes a long way.  Bes...

Winter Essentials!

Image
Hiii, YES it's officially WINTER & the COLD is settling in!  Although I prefer the cold than the hot but I prefer sun than the night, is that weird?  - Anyways, gloomy days & rainy days especially in winters tend to make me 'moody' as I just hate going home from work at 5pm and it looks like 10pm at night, it just feels like the day is already ending so fast. But there are things about winter that I love  and I tend to focus on these things on my winter routine to cheer me up and help me get through the winter months more cheerful, festive and happy!  Here are my Winter Essentials! #1: Burning A Candle. Lighting a candle the first thing upon coming home is one of the most relaxing thing of my day. Not only does it smells good, it makes the house feels so cozy and warm during winter which I <3 :)  #2: Pamper days Because it gets dark early, on weekends and time off's, going anywhere after 4pm just doesn't feel right. So in...

Body Shop Favourites (Nov 2014)

Image
Hiee everyone, I've been loving Body Shop recently because who doesn't? The smell of their products are just so lingering and makes you go into 'dreamland' and smelling soo good everywhere you go.  Anyways, I've been loving some of their products that I constantly use and I'm still loving it so far!  Let's get right into it. #1 [Top Left]: Aloe Lip Care. This lip balm is a thick gel-like consistency and it coats your lips making it feel thick, nourished and well-loved. It doesn't flake or dry up your skin, no fragrance, lasts for a long time, and it comes in a squeeze tube which makes it so easy for application. BEST to use it at night for pretty, kissable, moisturized lips the next morning. #2 [Top Right] : Vitamin E Overnight Serum Oil  Because I have oily/combination skin, I'm very skeptical when it comes to oils on my face. I decided to give this a go after seeing some reviews about it. I don't use a lot but I just pat...

Why you should be single? (or embrace being single.)

Hiii , I'm back with another relationship post this week.  As the title says, with the winter months and being 'cozy' is one of the warmest feeling in this time of the year, it can also be the loneliest time of all year if you are alone and etc. So I'm here to recommend a few things you can do AND the benefits of being ALONE/SINGLE. Hope this helps to make you realize that, sometimes, being alone isn't so bad and it CAN be a blessing. :)  Let's get to it. --- THINGS YOU CAN DO (if you're living the single life). Watch your favourite movie or tv show  - anytime and anywhere !  Organize your room or your house any way that you want. To join a club/society to make new friendships. To be able to date/ flirt with anyone you fancy ;)  Be productive in life (career, goals, dreams and etc) Make plans with friends or family easily without having to consider. Less commitments (you can go to they gym whenever you are free - you make YOUR day) H...
